Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain continued their disastrous start to the French Ligue 1 season, suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Monaco on Friday in the third round.

PSG once again failed to secure their first victory of the campaign, while Monaco claimed their third consecutive win.
Paris Saint-Germain took the lead through Brazilian defender Marquinhos in the 31st minute. Monaco equalized through Portuguese forward Flavio Nazinho in the 58th minute before Belgian player Stanis Mozambo scored the winner in the 72nd minute.
The victory sent Monaco to the top of the table with nine points from three consecutive wins, while PSG remained on two points in 12th place.
PSG began their title defense with a 2-2 draw against Rennes before drawing 2-2 with Lille in the second round.
