Defending Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain avoided defeat against hosts Lille on Friday, fighting back late to secure a 2-2 draw in an entertaining second-round clash.

Icelandic midfielder Hakon Haraldsson opened the scoring for Lille in the 21st minute before Dylan Bakwa doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 84th minute.
PSG staged a late comeback, with Portuguese midfielder Vitinha pulling one back in the first minute of second-half stoppage time. Brazilian defender Marquinhos then completed the comeback four minutes later with a decisive header to level the score.
The draw extended Paris Saint-Germain’s run of consecutive draws in their title defense, following another 2-2 draw against Rennes in the opening round.
Before the start of the league season, Luis Enrique’s side had also lost the French Super Cup, falling 1-0 to Lens.
The result moved Lille temporarily to the top of the standings with four points, while PSG sit sixth with two points.
