National handball player dies after suffering heart attack during match

AMMAN — National handball player, Adel Bakr Attari, died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack during a Jordan Handball Cup match against Al-Salt club on Monday. اضافة اعلان

Attari was a member of the Kufranja handball club.

The Jordan Handball Federation issued a statement Tuesday explaining that Atari suffered a serious heart attack at Al-Hussein City for Youth and that medical teams rushed to provide medical services.

He was then transferred to a nearby hospital.

In light of his passing, the federation decided to postpone two Jordan Cup matches which were scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
