The women's team beat Iran's Shahdari Sarjan 2-1 in the final on Saturday night, in an exciting match at the Aqaba Development Company stadium.
While talking to Coach Khalid Nimer of the Amman Club, he said: "I am definitely thankful for the players and their efforts, hard work, and all the hours of training we conducted every week."

The coach also emphasized that "winning is a great feeling, and it's even better when it's an international tournament.  Winning the local league is not out of the ordinary for a club in our status, but after this win, it proved that we are on a high level."

After the great performances in the tournament, three of the best players in Amman Club FC were offered contracts to play abroad.

"I'm very happy for the girls. Finally, our players get the spotlight they deserve. They are able to have a professional career in other leagues, and it works perfectly for both parties, our league and the leagues that our players are going to," he added.

Sustaining a local league is one of the main goals of the Jordan Football Federation; however, marketing their players to foreign leagues is something they are working on as it can help the players gain experience that is needed to join the national team.

After winning the Jordanian Women's League, the Amman Club FC was chosen to represent Jordan in the AFC Women's Club Champions.
