Sanaad Al-Khasawneh was elected unopposed as president of Al-Jazeera Club’s administrative board in the club’s supplementary elections held last Friday, after running as the sole candidate for the position. The move completes the board’s composition and opens a new chapter for the club in the coming period.اضافة اعلان

The elections also saw Mutasem Al-Saaydeh, Bader Al-Harasis and Anas Al-Muqabaleh run for membership on the administrative board, filling the three available seats. The elections were held to address vacancies that had emerged on the board following the resignation of former club president Hisham Ghaith and three board members.

Al-Khasawneh’s election comes as Al-Jazeera faces a range of administrative, financial and sporting challenges. This places significant responsibilities on the new president and board members, who will need to work as a team and develop clear plans to advance the club on all fronts. Their priorities include strengthening financial and administrative stability and creating the conditions necessary for the club to maintain its presence in domestic competitions.
Al-Khasawneh previously provided financial support to the club, in cooperation with several board members, as part of efforts to ease the financial crisis that affected the team during preparations for the current season.

With his unopposed election, the responsibilities facing Al-Khasawneh and the new board members have grown. They now face a period that requires continued efforts to resolve outstanding issues, strengthen financial resources and establish stability within the club. They must also develop a long-term vision that ensures continuity in institutional work and provides the football team with the right environment to compete and meet its supporters’ expectations.

Al-Jazeera fans hope the new administrative phase will have a positive impact on the club and that the board will turn their hopes and ambitions into practical steps. They want to see the team gradually return to its place among the clubs competing for domestic titles and restore its established presence in Jordanian football.

The fans’ expectations extend beyond the first team’s results. They also want a well-organized administrative structure, better use of available resources, greater investment in young talent and sustainable sources of income to ease the burden on the club’s finances. Such measures would give Al-Jazeera greater capacity to plan for future seasons without recurring financial pressures.

Supporters also hope the new administration will revive the club’s historic role as an important source of talent for Jordan’s national teams. This would involve identifying and developing promising players and giving young footballers opportunities to demonstrate their abilities. Al-Jazeera has contributed numerous players to Jordanian football, including Ali Olwan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Yazan Al-Arab and Nour Al-Rawabdeh, among others.

Investment in youth teams and the development of the club’s technical structure are also key to shaping its future. Building a team capable of competing consistently requires a comprehensive vision that extends beyond the current season to future campaigns, with an emphasis on developing talent and strengthening technical and administrative stability.

On the sporting front, Al-Jazeera has enjoyed a relatively positive spell this season, with results that give the team an opportunity to climb the Jordanian Pro League standings despite the intense competition and narrow points gap among several clubs.

Al-Jazeera currently sits fifth in the league standings with eight points, the same tally as Al-Baqa’a, Al-Wehdat and Al-Ramtha. The club is five points behind leaders Al-Faisaly. The close points gap highlights the importance of the coming period, when Al-Jazeera will need to maintain its positive results, reduce the deficit to the leading teams and improve its position in the table.

The club’s administration has set a target for the current season of finishing among the league’s top four teams. Achieving that goal will require the team to maintain its technical level, build on its positive results and establish stability within the squad as the competition progresses.

Al-Khasawneh said he would work with the board members to serve Al-Jazeera, develop the club and advance its sporting and administrative operations in line with the expectations of its fans and supporters. He stressed the importance of uniting efforts and working collectively to achieve the club’s objectives in the coming period.

Al-Khasawneh also thanked the club’s general assembly for its confidence, affirming that the club’s interests would remain the administration’s top priority as it seeks to strengthen Al-Jazeera’s progress and meet its supporters’ expectations.
