Jordan's trade surplus with US stands at JD625m in 2022

AMMAN — Jordan's trade balance surplus with the US in 2022 stood at JD625 million, the Department of Statistics announced on Sunday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

Meanwhile trade exchange between the two countries last year amounted to JD2.75 billion.

The data showed that the value of Jordanian exports to the US market in 2022 reached JD1.685 billion, which is an increase of 6.2 percent from the JD1.586 billion recorded in 2021. Meanwhile, the Kingdom's imports from the US last year amounted to JD1.060 billion, indicating an increase of 7.3 percent compared to the JD988 million recorded in 2021.

Jordan signed a free trade agreement with the US in 2000, which fully entered into force in January 2010, increasing the two countries’ trade exchange by an estimated 800 percent.
