Rubio: Progress in U.S.–Russia Talks on Ukraine

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an interview aired Tuesday that “some progress” has been made in talks with Russia aimed at ending the war with Ukraine.

Speaking to Fox News, Rubio said: “What we’ve tried to do — and I think we’ve made some progress — is determine what the Ukrainians can live with while providing them with security guarantees for the future.” He added that the United States hopes any settlement will allow Ukraine “not only to rebuild its economy, but also to thrive as a nation.”
