WASHINGTON
— The Wall Street Journal reported that the US Department of
State is investigating allegations regarding the Israeli Air Force's use of
white phosphorus in its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

to US officials cited by the newspaper, the investigation aims to determine
whether the weapons provided by the US to Israel were improperly used,
resulting in civilian casualties, Al-Ghad reported.
The
report also highlights that authorities are probing the airstrike on the
Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip on October 31, 2023, which
tragically led to the deaths of over 125 individuals.
Furthermore,
the WSJ noted that investigators suspect Israel may have utilized a bomb
weighing approximately 907 kilograms.
