UAE marks first working Friday

AMMAN — On Friday, the UAE will witness the first official working Friday after implementing the new four-week work system for the federal government sector. The system was implemented at the beginning of this year, as last Sunday was an official holiday in the country, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

The UAE government had adopted a new work system that starts from Monday to Thursday, half a working day on Friday, and the weekly holiday being Saturday and Sunday.

The official working hours for all federal government sector entities are 7:30am until 3:30pm — making it an eight-hour workday from Monday to Thursday.
