Qatar Rejects “Incendiary” Statements from Netanyahu’s Office
Qatar has strongly rejected what it described as “incendiary” remarks made by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a statement early Sunday by Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.اضافة اعلان

In a post on his official account on the X platform, Al-Ansari wrote:
"The State of Qatar categorically rejects the inciting statements issued by the office of the Israeli Prime Minister, which lack the most basic standards of political and moral responsibility."

He continued:
"Portraying the ongoing aggression on Gaza as a defense of ‘civilization’ echoes the rhetoric of regimes throughout history that used false slogans to justify crimes against innocent civilians."

Al-Ansari emphasized that since the outbreak of war on Gaza, Qatar—coordinating with its partners—has actively supported mediation efforts aimed at ending the war, protecting civilians, and securing the release of hostages.

He added:
"A legitimate question arises: Have at least 138 hostages been released through so-called ‘just’ military operations, or through the very mediation that is now unfairly criticized and targeted?"

He went on to highlight the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza:
"The Palestinian people in Gaza are experiencing one of the worst humanitarian disasters of the modern era—from a suffocating blockade, deliberate starvation, and deprivation of medicine and shelter, to the use of humanitarian aid as a tool of political pressure and blackmail. Is this the ‘civilization’ being promoted?"

Al-Ansari reaffirmed:
"Qatar’s principled foreign policy does not contradict its role as a neutral and reliable mediator. Misinformation campaigns and political pressure will not deter Qatar from standing with oppressed peoples and defending the rights of civilians—regardless of their backgrounds—based on international law, without selectivity or bias."

He added that Qatar continues to work closely with Egypt and the United States to achieve an immediate ceasefire, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and push toward a just and lasting peace founded on values of justice and humanity—not on violence or double standards.

He concluded:
"Qatar reaffirms its firm belief that true peace can only be achieved through a just and comprehensive settlement based on international legitimacy, ending the occupation, and ensuring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people—foremost among them, the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital."

Earlier, Netanyahu’s office had stated:
"Israel calls on Qatar to stop playing both sides with ambiguous language, and to decide whether it stands with civilization or with Hamas."
