According to the Tasnim News Agency, Baghaei spoke at a press conference about the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi to Pakistan and India, stating: "The visit to Pakistan is part of ongoing consultations with neighboring countries, and we have close relations with Pakistan. Regional issues, especially Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, are on the agenda."

He added that meetings would be held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, while the visit to India would be to participate in the upcoming Joint Economic Committee, scheduled for the coming days, with Thursday next week set for the trip to India.

Regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's statements about dismantling Iran's nuclear industry and Iran's strategy in negotiations, Baghaei said: "Our position and the fundamental framework under which we entered negotiations are non-negotiable. It is clear that Iran's fundamental stance on the peaceful use of nuclear energy is a legal right, and we cannot be a party to any treaty and accept only obligations without enjoying our rights."

He pointed out that Iran's nuclear program has a long history, and some of the controversial statements and misconceptions about Iran are not based on any scientific or factual basis. Iran has the right to benefit from its membership in the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and its right to enrichment.
