In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib—Director of Public Relations and Media and official spokesperson for the KFF—confirmed that the efforts to combat the airport fire resulted in no reported injuries.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had earlier announced that a drone targeted two fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport this morning, leading to the outbreak of the fire.
The DGCA spokesperson emphasized that the damage was strictly material, with no loss of life recorded.
