Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque – Al-Haram Al-Sharif – on Monday morning, entering from the Mughrabi Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.

In a statement, the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem reported that the settlers conducted provocative tours within the mosque courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern section of the compound.
The occupation police imposed strict restrictions on Palestinian worshippers entering the mosque, confiscating the IDs of some at the outer gates.
Palestinian calls continue urging people to mobilize, maintain presence, and confront the occupation and settler plans aimed at demolishing the mosque and establishing the so-called “Temple” in its place.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to daily violations and incursions by settlers—except on Fridays and Saturdays—under the protection of Israeli police, as part of ongoing efforts to impose full control over the mosque and divide it temporally and spatially.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have continued their siege of the mosque by tightening access for Muslim worshippers, erecting metal barriers, and obstructing or preventing entry at its gates.
