Abu Ubaida, the military spokesperson for Al-Qassam Brigades, vowed that the Israeli occupation army would suffer daily losses in Gaza. His statement came following a complex ambush by the resistance in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, which resulted in the killing of five Israeli soldiers and the injury of 14 others.

He emphasized that the war of attrition being waged by Palestinian fighters from the north to the south of the Strip would continue to inflict additional losses on the enemy every day.
Abu Ubaida described the Beit Hanoun operation as another powerful blow delivered by the brave fighters of the resistance to the fragile prestige of the Israeli army.
He warned, “Though the enemy recently managed—by a miracle—to extract its soldiers from the inferno, it may fail in the future, and they could fall into our hands as new captives.”
He added, “The steadfastness of our people and the courage of our fighters alone are what shape the rules of engagement and define the coming phase.”
Abu Ubaida concluded by saying that “the most foolish decision Netanyahu could make would be to keep his forces inside the Gaza Strip.”
