MONTPELIER – Three Palestinian students in the state of Vermont, USA, were injured to varying degrees, ranging from severe to moderate, after being shot in a new hate crime in America.
According to media sources, Hisham Awartani, Tahseen Ali and Kenan Abdulhamid, students at Brown and other US universities, were shot last night on their way to a family dinner in Burlington, USA for wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh.
Initial reports indicate that this attack has been classified as a hate crime based on racism, as they were wearing Palestinian keffiyehs and speaking Arabic.
Six weeks ago, a 6-year-old Palestinian child was stabbed 26 times in a hate crime in Illinois.
