Temperatures are expected to rise slightly on Tuesday, reaching around their seasonal averages, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
The weather will be moderate in the highlands and plains, while hot conditions are expected in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low-level clouds will appear, with moderate northwesterly winds.
Maximum and minimum temperatures in eastern Amman are expected to range between 33°C and 23°C, compared with 31°C and 21°C in western Amman, 30°C and 19°C in the northern highlands, and 29°C and 17°C in the Sharah Mountains.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 36°C and 21°C in the Badia, 33°C and 21°C in the plains, 40°C and 26°C in the northern Jordan Valley, 41°C and 30°C in the southern Jordan Valley, 41°C and 29°C at the Dead Sea, and 40°C and 29°C in Aqaba.
On Wednesday, temperatures are expected to rise further, bringing relatively hot weather to most areas and hot conditions in the Badia. The Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba are expected to experience very hot weather, with moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds.
A slight drop in temperatures is forecast for Thursday, with moderate weather in the highlands and plains and hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low-level clouds are expected, while winds will be moderate and northeasterly to northwesterly, becoming stronger in the Badia during the afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to fall slightly again on Friday. The weather will be pleasant in the highlands and plains, while remaining hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Low-level clouds are expected over northern and central Jordan, with moderate westerly winds.
