The Kingdom is experiencing a notable rise in temperatures today, with conditions forecast to be significantly hotter than average across much of the country, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.اضافة اعلان

Thursday’s temperatures are expected to exceed seasonal norms by 6 to 7 degrees Celsius. The weather will be relatively hot over the highlands and plains, and markedly hotter in the Badia region, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will blow from the east at moderate speed, shifting to northwesterly by evening, occasionally becoming active and raising dust, particularly in desert areas.

A shift in conditions is expected on Friday, with a substantial drop in temperatures returning them to typical levels for this time of year. The weather will be mild in most regions, while remaining relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will continue from the northwest at moderate speeds, occasionally stirring up dust in the Badia.

Saturday will bring a slight uptick in temperatures once more. Conditions will remain generally mild in most parts of the Kingdom, with relatively hot weather persisting in desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds are forecast to be moderate, occasionally active and dusty in eastern and southern regions.

A further minor rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday. The weather will be relatively hot across the highlands and plains, and hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will shift between northwesterly and northeasterly directions at moderate speeds.

Maximum and minimum temperatures expected today range between 36 C and 15 C in East Amman, and 34 C and 13 C in West Amman.

In the northern highlands, temperatures are forecast at 30 C during the day and 11 C at night, while the Sharah highlands will see highs of 32 C and lows of 12 C. Desert regions are expected to record temperatures between 38 C and 17 C, and the plains between 36 C and 15 C.

In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will reach 37 C in the north and 39 C in the south, with overnight lows of 19 C and 23 C, respectively. The Dead Sea and Gulf of Aqaba will both see highs of 38 C and lows of 22 C.
