Jordan’s national karate team will begin its campaign tomorrow at the 20th Asian Games, being held in Nagoya, Japan.

Jordanian karateka Yara Nasser will begin her competition in the over-68kg category, facing Nepal’s Arika Gurung in the quarterfinals.اضافة اعلان

Abdullah Hammad will also begin his campaign in the under-60kg category, facing Japan’s Hiromu Hashimoto in the round of 32.

The national team’s participation will continue on Monday with Nourallah Nasser, Joud Al-Dhrous, and Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa, while Mohammad Al-Jaafari will conclude Jordan’s karate participation on Tuesday.

Jordan’s national team will be looking to maintain its strong record at major competitions and make another notable appearance at the Asian Games.
Jordanian karate has won 14 medals in the history of the Games, including one gold, four silver, and nine bronze medals.

At the previous edition, held in Hangzhou, China, in 2023, the national team won five medals: two silver medals through Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa and Hassan Masarwa, and three bronze medals won by Mohammad Al-Jaafari, Abdullah Hammad, and Joud Al-Dhrous.
