Amazon Expands Low-Cost Shopping Service “Bazaar” to 14 New Countries
On Friday, Amazon expanded its low-cost e-commerce service to 14 additional markets.

The service, named Amazon Bazaar, aims to compete with Chinese companies such as Shein and Temu. This expansion comes as widespread tariffs imposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump have negatively affected consumer sentiment, particularly among lower-income groups who continuously seek cheaper deals, according to Reuters.اضافة اعلان

Amazon will launch a separate app for Amazon Bazaar, similar to the Amazon Haul app. The new app will offer most products priced under $10, with some items as low as $2, covering household goods, fashion, and more.

The new markets for this service include: Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Nigeria. The app will be available on iOS and Android, with more markets expected to gain access in the coming months.

Previously, Amazon had launched Amazon Haul under the name “Bazaar” in other markets through its main shopping app. That version remains available in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Mexico.

Amazon explained that using two names for the same low-cost product range may be confusing, but the different names better align with local language and cultural preferences.
