The platform aims to reduce inauthentic engagement — interactions coming from anonymous or misleading accounts — by enabling users to verify the background of accounts sharing content.
This new feature helps users identify the true origin of an account, determine whether it’s linked to a specific country, view the app store from which it was registered (App Store / Play Store), and assess the account’s transparency and consistency based on name change history and registration details.
When will the feature be available?
According to X, the feature will roll out next week for a limited number of employee accounts to test functionality and gather feedback before being released globally to all users.
