The event spans a full week, featuring a program of professional bouts, sports and media activities, and accompanying experiences, as part of what is expected to be the largest and most ambitious event in the history of combat sports in Jordan.

The event comes amid the growing global popularity of mixed martial arts, a sport followed by hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

The week will carry a distinctive visual and spatial character, linking mixed martial arts to a number of historical and touristic sites across the Kingdom, in a scene combining the heritage of place with the spirit of modern competition, presenting a different image of Jordan to an international audience.

Activities held at historical and archaeological sites will be carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities, in accordance with site protection and preservation requirements, relying on temporary setups and organizational methods tailored to the nature and historical value of each site.

At the heart of the event, international and regional fighters will come together in an experience drawing on the image of modern day warriors amid sites carrying a rich historical legacy, giving the event a distinctive identity that goes beyond conventional bouts.

CEO of Jordan Combat Consulting, Zaid Marza, said: "The Roman Amphitheater, which dates back nearly two thousand years, won't just be a venue hosting the event, it will be part of the scene itself. The place evokes the arenas and warriors of the ancient world, and we're bringing that spirit back today through a modern, exceptional experience in the world of combat sports."
He added: "It will be an exceptional night of top level professional bouts, bringing together internationally known fighters and elite regional talents from the United States, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, the UAE, and Palestine."

Marza continued: "We're not just organizing bouts; we want to bring the spirit of the warrior into a modern form and present a new generation of combat sports experiences in one of the region's most distinctive historical sites."
"Jordan MMA Week" will also see extensive international and regional media presence, with television coverage and the participation of media outlets, content creators, celebrities, and prominent figures, giving the event reach extending to audiences beyond Jordan and the region.

The accompanying events and activities will span several of the Kingdom's most prominent destinations, including Amman, Jerash, the Dead Sea, Petra, Wadi Rum, and Aqaba, allowing fighters, guests, and the international audience to have a complete experience combining sport, culture, and place.

The event builds on the legacy established by Desert Force in the Arab mixed martial arts scene, after it played a pioneering role in bringing professional MMA to a wide audience in the region, with Jordan MMA Week representing a new and more ambitious phase in this path.

Organizers said the goal is to build an international sports and media platform launched from Jordan, and to strengthen the Kingdom's position as a regional destination for hosting major martial arts events and attracting international fighters, audiences, and media.

The main venue for the bouts, the list of international fighters, media partners, participating figures, and the full program for Jordan MMA Week are set to be announced progressively in the coming period.
