Jordanian boxer wins match in Asian Boxing Championship

AMMAN — National boxer Ziad Ashish won his first match in the Asian Boxing Championship, which is being held at Martyr Rashid Al-Zayoud Hall at Al-Hussein Youth City in Amman, defeating Japanese boxer Okazawa in the 16th round of the under-71kg competition.اضافة اعلان

Next Monday, Ashish will meet with Tajikistan’s Nur Mammadov in the quarter-finals.

The Asian Boxing Championship is witnessing the participation of 181 male and 86 female boxers, representing 27 countries: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Syria, China, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, in addition to Jordan.
