Muñoz arrived at Selhurst Park from Belgian club Genk in January 2024 and quickly became a mainstay in Palace's starting lineup. He played a key role in the club's landmark FA Cup win in the 2024/25 season, providing the assist for the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the final, which also earned him Player of the Match honors. His strong form throughout that campaign saw him named Palace's Player of the Season, and he went on to add the Community Shield to his list of achievements.

He carried that momentum into the following season as well, contributing four goals and three assists in 29 Premier League appearances, while making 46 appearances overall across all competitions as Palace went on to win the UEFA Conference League.

Prior to his move to England, Muñoz spent nearly four years at Genk after signing with the Belgian side in 2020, scoring 16 goals in 122 appearances and helping the club win the Belgian Cup in 2021 as an attack-minded full-back.
His professional career began in Colombia, where he made his senior debut for Águilas Doradas in 2017 before transferring to Atlético Nacional in 2019.

Muñoz has also become a regular fixture for the Colombian national team, earning 51 caps since his debut in 2021. He has featured for his country at two Copa América tournaments and was named in Colombia's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
