The "It Must Shine" initiative's theater troupe is preparing to represent the Kingdom at the 10th edition of the "Awladona" (Our Children) International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Abilities, hosted by Egypt from September 17 to 24, with the participation of troupes and artists from Egypt and a number of countries around the world.

The troupe will take part in the forum with the experimental theatrical performance "The Gift, What If?," a participation aimed at presenting a Jordanian artistic experience that reflects the abilities of people with disabilities and affirms their presence in the cultural and artistic scene.
This participation comes as a culmination of the "It Must Shine" initiative's efforts to use art and theater as tools for empowerment and inclusion, giving students with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves, discover their abilities, and develop their artistic and personal skills through theatrical work.
The initiative's team had selected a number of standout students from among roughly 80 students taking part in the "Bright Spaces" project to participate in the theatrical performance, an experience aimed at boosting self-confidence, breaking down stereotypes, and demonstrating that people with disabilities are capable of creativity, achievement, and active participation in cultural life.
Before the team's departure for Egypt, the experimental theatrical performance "The Gift, What If?" was staged in a preparatory showing two days ago, on the stage of the Osama Al-Mashini Theater in Jabal Al-Weibdeh, as part of final preparations for participating in the international forum.
The performance offers a humanistic theatrical vision that goes beyond the traditional view of people with disabilities, presenting them as people with talent, energy, and creative abilities, affirming that difference isn't a barrier to achievement, but can instead be a source of strength, beauty, and creativity.
The production team includes Razan Al-Kurdi and Murad Abu Saraya as directors, Dr. Dima Sweidan on music, Razan Al-Kurdi as playwright, and Aya Hamza on costumes and makeup.
The cast includes: Ahmad Yousri Rohi Shahaltough, Ahmad Saif Mohammad Mustafa Al-Masloukhi, Majd Mohammad Khaled Mahmoud Al-Hindawi, Salah Rashad Salah Al-Houraini, Shahdah Talal Abdel Samad Abdel Samad, and Abdul Rahman Muflih Tawfiq Al-Duwaikat.
This participation is part of the artistic and volunteer work carried on by the "It Must Shine" initiative, which has for years worked to use theater and the arts in service of the community and to promote the concept of inclusion and empower people with disabilities. The initiative has also been nominated for the "Crown Prince's Award for Volunteer Work," in recognition of its efforts in this field.
The Jordanian team is set to travel to Egypt to take part in the forum's activities, carrying an artistic and humanistic message affirming that theater is a space for everyone, that talent knows no disability, and that every person has a story worth telling.
Through this participation, the "It Must Shine" initiative hopes to strengthen the presence of Jordanian art on the Arab and international stage, shine a light on the talents of the participating students, and showcase their artistic and human abilities, in a way that helps support a culture of inclusion and empowerment and raises Jordan's profile on the international stage.
