World’s Oldest Mushroom Found in Jordanian Amber
The oldest mushroom in the world has been discovered in Jordanian amber, estimated to be 140 million years old. The discovery was made by scientist Abbas Haddadin in the Blue Stream area of Jerash, northern Jordan.اضافة اعلان

Previously, American scientist George Poinar from the University of Oregon had discovered a 50 million-year-old mushroom preserved in amber from the Baltic Sea. The new Jordanian find significantly predates that discovery.
