The implementation of the initiative was part
of the committee project that’s being carried out by the Jordanian Hashemite
Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) with the support of
UNHCR, aiming to raise
awareness among school students and urging them to abide by health requirements
and instructions from government agencies to protect them and their community
from the spread of COVID-19.
The head of the committee in Tafileh, Ali
Al-Badayna, explained that the initiative is part of the committee’s activities
and programs to serve Syrian refugees and the local community.
He pointed out that the program will be
training students through a specialist from the Department of Health of Tafileh
to implement public health and safety procedures. Also stating that they are an
easy, effective and affordable way to combat the spread of germs.
The program will also urge students and
parents to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, stay away from congregations in school
arenas, and teach them steps and procedures to keep them safe in the classroom.
