First female Jordanian obtains FAA maintenance license

AMMAN — Islam Makhlid Al-Fatalah, from Madaba Governorate, recently became the first Jordanian in her 20s to obtain an American license to specialize in the maintenance of aircraft engines and airframes from the US Federal Aviation Authority (FAA)اضافة اعلان

Islam told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Sunday, that she spent three months studying and preparing for the license, and was helped by five years of practical experience.

She noted that the new license will greatly benefit her at work, as she can now work on any plane coming to Jordan that is registered in the US.

She previously studied at the Royal Academy of Aviation, specializing in engine and structure maintenance, before moving to the Queen Noor Technical Academy for Civil Aviation and obtaining a diploma.
