Council turns attention to adventure tourism

AMMAN — The Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council recently held a number of technical workshops to improve standards for adventure tourism.اضافة اعلان

In addition to council members, representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a team from the Professional and Technical Skills Development Authority, a specialized group from the Tourist Guides Association, and a number of guides specialized in adventure tourism will participate in the workshops. 

The head of the Tourism and Hospitality Skills Council, Muhammad Al-Qasim, said in a statement released by the council that the private sector will define and develop professional standards and skills for jobs in the tourism sector, which will later be reflected in the specialized training programs to fill gaps in the labor market, increase employment, and raise skill of workers in the tourism sector.
