AMMAN — The Telecommunications Regulatory
Authority on Saturday said that it has spoken to mobile telecommunications companies about blocking all applications that might be used to cheat during
Tawjihi (general secondary education certificate examination).
The authority added that this would only be for the exam
period.
The authority added that the blocking would place a few
minutes before the start of the exams and end shortly thereafter.
The authority also said that as a result of the nature of
the coverage of telecommunication networks, some areas outside the school
district may also experience blocked apps, but this would be temporary.
