Qatar imported 25m tonnes of Jordanian dates during Ramadan

Qatari traders and importers told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Monday that their country’s import of Jordanian dates witnessed a “major jump” during the holy month compared to standard imports over the past year.

Normally, Qatar imports around 12 million tonnes of Jordanian dates per month

While the Qatari market consumes Jordanian dates of all varieties, the date of choice in the Gulf country is the Medjool variety, they added.
