The applicants include 13 companies, a cooperative society, and the Engineers Syndicate, Huneifat noted. Applications were presented to the ministry’s technical committees for study and have now been transferred to the Ministry of Interior, which in turn will refer them to the Ministry of Finance for review, according to Hala News.

The total area of the Al-Hammad basin is estimated at about 18.1 million dunums, of which the government owns 14.88 million dunums, while the total land area of the Al-Sarhan basin is estimated at 12.7 million dunums, of which the government owns 11.6 million dunums.
