InterContinental Jordan’s management wholeheartedly believes that “When a woman
rises, the world rises.” In celebration of International Women’s Day,
InterContinental aimed to put these words into everyday actions.

According to a press statement, InterContinental
seeks to create environments that help women succeed economically, respond to
women’s success within our society by providing appropriate job opportunities,
and participate in relative programs to ensure women have access to leadership
in all areas of life.
InterContinental Jordan is committed to creating
meaningful change in the wider business community with their diversity and
community contribution. The human resources department arranged a women’s
empowerment session for our 52 female colleagues hosted by the hotel’s
management and with the collaboration of
Princess Taghrid’s Institute (PTI) for
Development and Training conducted by Aghadir Jwaihan the general director of
the institute.
Following the event, fabric scarves were handed out to the
attendees as giveaways; right before a full table lunch.
