Each year on the 8th of March, Bank al Etihad celebrates International Women's Day to highlight the importance of raising awareness about "gender equality" and "reduced inequalities" – 2 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations.

Bank al Etihad honored International Women's Day by inviting its female workforce, led by CEO Nadia Al Saeed, to meet and celebrate their achievements at Daimeh Eatery, a Jordan River Foundation social project that showcases the culinary skills of the Al Karma Kitchen's women. These women rely on home cooking for their livelihood and prepare both traditional and modern dishes.

The bank also distributed gifts, purchased from The Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training, to its female employees and clients. The institute focuses on empowering women over the age of 18 who have lost their family support, as they believe in the potential of women to innovate and persevere, no matter the circumstances.

Bank al Etihad is proud of cultivating a work culture that embraces diversity, equality, and inclusivity. As a result of these values, 46% of the bank's workforce is made up of women, reflecting the policies, procedures, and benefits it provides to all its employees.

It is worth mentioning that Bank al Etihad launched a comprehensive program for women, called Shorouq, in 2014, to emphasize its belief in the importance of women's economic participation. The program aims to provide women with financial independence and security, as well as opportunities for learning and development.

The Shorouq program offers a range of banking and non-financial solutions designed to support women's professional and entrepreneurial aspirations. It includes workshops to facilitate women's re-entry into the workforce, and provides female business owners with financial solutions, guidance, and legal advice for registering their businesses, to help them break through barriers and achieve their ambitions.

In appreciation of Bank al Etihad's efforts in achieving inclusivity and diversity in the workplace, improving women's economic participation, and facilitating their access to financial solutions, the bank received several awards. The most recent was the "Facilitating Access to Finance" award from the Financial Alliance for Women
