The Vice President of the Jordanian Hotels Association, Hussein Hilalat, stated that the hotel sector has witnessed a notable decline during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Hilalat confirmed that the decline is significant compared to previous years, due to the repercussions of regional conditions, which have negatively affected tourist numbers.
He pointed out that the hotel occupancy rate in Amman during the upcoming Eid holiday reached 32% in five-star and four-star hotels, while the occupancy rate in the Dead Sea’s five-star hotels reached 32% and 25% for four-star hotels. The occupancy rate in Petra’s five-star hotels was 24%, and 14% for four-star hotels.
