The Russian Central Bank announced on Friday that it has lowered the key interest rate by half a percentage point, from 17% to 16.5% per year, while maintaining a neutral stance on monetary policy. The bank noted that future decisions will depend on the sustainability of the slowdown in inflation and developments in domestic market price expectations.

In a press statement, the bank indicated that the annual inflation rate reached 8.2% as of October 20, and it expects it to range between 6.5% and 7% by the end of 2025, amid efforts to maintain price stability and support economic growth.
