The Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) has called for an urgent and emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Chambers. The meeting aims to discuss the repercussions of regional developments, enhance cooperation and coordination within the Arab private sector, and present a united front in facing the current crisis.

In a formal letter addressed to the Union’s President, Samir Nass, the JCC expressed Jordan’s full readiness to host the meeting. The Chamber emphasized that a prolonged conflict would severely impact supply chains, particularly for oil and gas derivatives and essential commodities.
The JCC explained that this call comes in response to the "cowardly targeting" by Iran of Jordan and several other brotherly Arab nations. These attacks have included the shelling of ports and airports and the disruption of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, with concerns that such disruptions could extend to the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Key Proposals and Objectives:
Public-Private Partnership: The JCC suggested inviting government entities—specifically those responsible for ports, borders, and land, sea, and air transport—to unify efforts between the public and private sectors across Arab nations.
Solidarity Against Aggression: The Chamber praised the efforts of the Beirut-based Union for its close monitoring of the situation and its condemnation of the "cowardly Iranian attacks" on Jordan's territory and airspace.
