Murad highlighted that the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II have been fundamental in strengthening economic cooperation and opening broader horizons for Jordanian products to enhance their presence in European markets, which serve as a primary economic partner for Jordan.

He noted that the Jordan-EU Association Agreement, signed in 2002, has played a vital role in expanding trade exchange and increasing investments. He emphasized that the current growth underscores the effectiveness of these agreements and the ongoing efforts to bolster trade relations between Jordan and European nations.

Sector Performance and Competitive Advantages
According to Murad, the growth was primarily concentrated in vital sectors where the Kingdom holds clear competitive advantages in terms of quality, cost, and supply capacity, including:

Garments and accessories.

Nitrogenous fertilizers.

Chemical industries.

Raw phosphate and raw potash.

He pointed out that these results reflect the improved performance of supply chains and production processes among Jordanian companies, as well as their ability to meet the strict specifications and standards of European markets.

Strategic Partnerships and Market Diversification
Murad affirmed that this performance is a result of cooperation between the public and private sectors, noting that Jordanian industrial quality is gaining increasing acceptance in Europe due to adherence to international production standards.

He further mentioned that the European Union, alongside North American (USMCA) and Asian countries, was a major driver of the 11.2% year-on-year growth in Jordan’s total national exports. This highlights the importance of market diversification and economic partnerships with major global blocs.

The Role of the European Chamber of Commerce
The European Chamber of Commerce in Jordan plays a pivotal role in promoting local products within Europe by:

Organizing economic events and specialized exhibitions.

Leading trade missions.

Facilitating direct communication between the Jordanian business community and its European counterparts.

Murad concluded by stressing the need to build on this positive momentum. He called for intensified government and private sector efforts to open new markets, expand the export product base, and stimulate investment in productive sectors to ensure sustainable export growth, support the national economy, and create new job opportunities.
