The Cabinet, in a session held on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan, decided to extend the exemption of entry fees to archaeological sites for the "Urdun Jannah" program. The decision also includes continuing to cover trip costs until December 31, 2026, aimed at supporting and empowering local communities and stimulating economic activities.

The program aims to revitalize domestic tourism and encourage citizens to visit national tourist destinations across the Kingdom’s governorates by providing diverse tourism experiences and products at subsidized prices accessible to all.
"Urdun Jannah" is implemented in partnership with tourism offices, tour guides, hotels, camps, and the tourist transport sector, contributing to the sustainability and readiness of the tourism sector, especially in light of current regional circumstances.
The program includes organizing monthly events in all governorates, featuring cultural activities, bazaars, and local products to boost tourism and economic movement. Additionally, it provides free transportation via modern buses, accompanying tour guides, and meals to ensure an organized experience for participants.
For the current year, the program aims to reach approximately 220,000 beneficiaries. For the first time, this will include Arab and foreign university students studying in the Kingdom, Gazan residents, children of Jordanian women, and their spouses. The focus will be on increasing trips to less-visited destinations and supporting areas most affected by regional repercussions, particularly archaeological sites within the Petra Development and Tourism Region.
Furthermore, the program seeks to expand the participation of local projects to exceed 400 initiatives, including restaurants, hotels, and tourism experiences, to support local economic activities. To this end, the program has been enhanced with more than 60 tourism trails covering various regions of the Kingdom.
This year, the program will also introduce—for the first time—the option for direct booking and participation using private vehicles within subsidized tourism experiences via its official electronic platform.
