The maximum electrical load recorded yesterday, Tuesday, reached 4,220 megawatts (MW), according to data from the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).

The company confirmed that the Kingdom's electrical grid maintains high reliability and that, as part of specific plans, it is stepping up preparedness to handle electrical loads amid rising temperatures and increased demand for power.
It also highlighted the importance of rationalizing electricity consumption, particularly during peak hours, to help maintain the stability and reliability of the national power grid.
Sufian Al-Bataineh, Director General of NEPCO, stated previously that Jordan's electrical system operates with high efficiency, affirming its readiness to meet electricity demand during the summer season amidst rising temperatures and peak loads.
Al-Bataineh explained that all generation units have completed routine maintenance, with no scheduled or unscheduled outages. He noted that the Kingdom's available generation capacity stands at approximately 4,400 MW, all operating at high efficiency.
He added that the expected peak load during the summer, under a moderate scenario, reaches around 4,800 MW, reassuring that the power system is fully capable of absorbing these loads and ensuring an uninterrupted electricity supply.
