European Stocks Record Broad Declines at Friday’s Close

These factors prompted investors to reduce risk exposure, which directly impacted the performance of the continent’s major indices.

The European Stoxx 600 Index fell by about 1.01 percent at the close, driven by a broad sell-off across major sectors—most notably technology—according to CNBC.

Similarly, Germany’s DAX Index closed down 0.64 percent, extending its losses amid an increasingly uncertain economic outlook.

France’s CAC Index also recorded losses of 0.76 percent. In the UK, the FTSE Index posted the sharpest decline among its European peers, closing down by 1.11 percent.
