Talks with the UAE
During his meeting with the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Al-Qudah emphasized the importance of building upon and activating the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the two nations. Key points included:
Increasing trade exchange and stimulating joint investments.
The necessity of facilitating registration procedures for Jordanian medicines in the UAE market.
Enhancing cooperation in priority sectors, particularly advanced technology, green energy, and supply chains, in line with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision.
Talks with Bahrain
In a separate meeting with Bahrain's Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Al-Qudah explored ways to develop economic ties and build on the outcomes of the Joint Higher Committee.
Upcoming Meeting: Al-Qudah called for the committee to convene its next meeting in Amman later this year.
Sector Focus: Both sides stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as logistics.
Investment Climate: Discussions highlighted increasing trade exchange, technology transfer, and the role of the private sector in establishing investment partnerships, specifically regarding food security and IT.
Al-Qudah reiterated Jordan's commitment to providing an attractive investment environment, while both parties underscored the importance of private-sector collaboration in energy and food security.
