Caroline Seguine, MSF’s Emergency Coordinator, stated on Wednesday that many Palestinians risk their lives returning to check on their homes, while major hospitals remain in areas controlled by the army, complicating access to medical care.
She added that Israeli authorities continue to obstruct the entry of essential aid, including medications, shelter supplies, and hygiene materials, emphasizing that much of the current suffering “is entirely avoidable.”
Thousands of displaced people are living in tents lacking water and electricity, with accumulated waste and outbreaks of skin, respiratory, and digestive diseases, especially as winter approaches.
MSF called for the immediate and unhindered increase of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
