For its part, Iranian state television reported that the Iranian Navy prevented U.S. warships from entering the Strait of Hormuz region.
On Monday morning, the Unified Command of the Iranian Armed Forces threatened to attack any foreign force approaching the Strait of Hormuz. This escalation coincides with the launch of "Operation Freedom Project," an initiative announced by U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at assisting ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz to exit safely.
President Trump stated that countries from around the world—most of which are not involved in a conflict with Iran—have requested U.S. assistance in freeing their vessels, describing these nations as "neutral parties."
In a post on the "Truth Social" platform, Trump added that Washington would work to guide ships safely out of the waterways, allowing them to resume their operations.
