The website Dropsite reported, citing informed sources, that the United States has notified a regional ally that President Donald Trump may authorize an attack against Iran on Sunday.

The site added on Friday evening that military strikes could begin early on Sunday, according to the information provided to the ally, if the US decides to proceed.
A former senior US intelligence official, serving as an unofficial advisor to the Trump administration on Middle East policy, told the site: “This is not about the nuclear program or missile program. This is about regime change.”
He added that US war planners envision attacks targeting nuclear sites, ballistic missile facilities, and other military locations across Iran, with particular focus on the leadership and capabilities of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.
