University admission online open for children of Jordanian women

AMMAN — On Tuesday, The Unified Admission Coordination Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the opening of the online application process for children of Jordanian women not married to Jordanians, for admission to Jordanian public universities which ends 3pm on October 7, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit, Muhannad Al-Khatib, said on Tuesday, that the submission of applications is made through the unit’s website, where students who fulfil the requirements for admission to university and hold a general secondary school certificate or passed summer courses to qualify for admission, may register.

Students need to submit their application via the website and pay the JD15 application fee using the electronic payment mechanism through the Central Bank of Jordan’s bill payment service "e-fawateercom", according to the electronic payment number given to each student.

Al-Khatib called on students to learn about the mechanism for submitting the unified admissions application and the approved payment mechanism for paying the fee, by visiting the website of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit.

He pointed out that the conditions for being considered for seats at public universities that are allocated for children of Jordanian women, are that the student must have an ID card for children of Jordanian women issued by the Civil Status Department, and must  fulfil the requirements for admission to public universities.

The ones who are excluded from the admission process for students of Jordanian mothers, are students nominated for admission to the Royal Honorable List for the sons of the camps (children of the Gaza Strip).

Students of Jordanian mothers are accepted according to the minimum competitive acceptance rates for Jordanian students who obtained a Jordanian high school certificate in the current year (2021/2022), as announced on the website of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit.
