The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department (DVLD) announced the full adoption of an electronic payment system for all its transactions, alongside the permanent elimination of cash payments across all licensing centers and departments in the Kingdom, effective Sunday, August 2.

The DVLD stated on Saturday that the decision aligns with the government's digital transformation vision and comes as part of its ongoing efforts to modernize services, streamline procedures, and elevate the efficiency and quality of service provided to visitors.
It clarified that completing all financial transactions will be restricted starting Sunday to approved electronic payment methods, which include the "eFAWATEERcom" system, e-wallets, and banking applications.
It added that visitors can also make payments through Jordan Post staff stationed inside DVLD centers distributed across the Kingdom's various governorates.
The Licensing Department noted that it has finalized all procedures related to comprehensive digital transformation and the development of its e-services, within government modernization plans aimed at simplifying procedures and improving service quality for citizens.
