The department said the campaigns aim to reduce traffic accidents and protect road users.

Traffic Operations Room officer Maj. Kifah Al-Hazaimeh told Al-Mamlaka that traffic teams are monitoring road conditions both in the field and through cameras, with a focus on violations that pose a direct threat to public safety.

He added that traffic activity had increased at the four main entrances to the capital and along several major routes, with heavy movement also reported around schools.

Traffic teams also dealt with a bus and a vehicle that had broken down and removed them from the road without significantly affecting traffic flow.

Al-Hazaimeh urged drivers, particularly around schools, to reduce their speed and remain alert to the movement of students and pedestrians. He also called on motorists to avoid stopping while students are getting off vehicles or blocking roads, in order to ensure their safety.

The Traffic Operations Room said it would continue monitoring traffic through cameras and a mapping system to identify slowdowns and respond to breakdowns or congestion, with the aim of maintaining smooth traffic flow and protecting road users.
