The King and the Albanian President affirmed that dialogue and peaceful solutions are the only ways to achieve regional de-escalation.

His Majesty King Abdullah II and Albanian President Bajram Begaj held talks at Al Husseiniya Palace on Sunday, focusing on ways to expand cooperation and elevate the friendly relations between Jordan and Albania.اضافة اعلان

During the talks, attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and First Lady Armanda Begaj, His Majesty emphasized that this visit is an opportunity to continue strengthening bilateral ties. He noted that the past year witnessed an exchange of visits and coordination that resulted in holding a round of the "Aqaba Meetings" in Albania.

His Majesty congratulated the Albanian people on the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, noting that it serves as a reminder of the shared values between the two countries and their bilateral efforts to promote harmony and dialogue.

Regarding regional developments, the King expressed his appreciation for Albania's support for efforts to restore stability and achieve peace based on the two-state solution.

Regional Stability and Sovereignty
The two leaders, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, Chief Adviser to His Majesty for Religious and Cultural Affairs and Personal Envoy, stressed that dialogue and peaceful solutions are the only path to regional calm and conflict resolution. In this context, His Majesty pointed out the necessity of respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states, as well as safeguarding the resources of their peoples.

For his part, the Albanian President confirmed that his visit to the Kingdom would contribute to strengthening partnerships in investment, security, tourism, and development, noting the great potential for enhancing joint economic action. He also mentioned visiting several religious and tourist sites, highlighting the need to boost people-to-people ties and encourage exchange visits by establishing a direct flight route between the two countries.

President Begaj expressed his country's commitment to deepening stability and prosperity globally and regionally, praising His Majesty’s leadership role in achieving stability and his efforts toward peace in the region via the two-state solution.

Developments in the Palestinian Territories
The discussions covered the overall situation in the region. His Majesty stressed the need to intensify international efforts to stop illegal measures aimed at consolidating settlement activity and imposing Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank. He warned of the dangers posed by continued attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

The King also reaffirmed the necessity of full commitment to implementing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to all areas within the Strip.
