State of emergency declared Wednesday to deal with cold front

AMMAN — The government announced a state of emergency starting Wednesday as Jordan prepares to be impacted by severe weather conditions with the possibility of upping the emergency to full alert.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Local Administration urged municipalities and local councils to remove election signs from as they could be blown over the streets by the strong winds, posing a danger to pedestrians.

Secretary-General of the Ministry Hussein Mheidat demanded the opening of the emergency cells starting 3:00 pm Wednesday until further notice, urging officials to take prompt actions in case of emergencies.
