Safadi, UK Foreign Secretary discuss Gaza ceasefire efforts

AMMAN — On Tuesday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi received a phone call from UK Foreign Secretary, David Cameron. The call focused on the situation in Gaza and efforts to reach an agreement to cease fire and deliver humanitarian aid to the region. اضافة اعلان

During the call, Safadi emphasized the seriousness of the continued aggression in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian disaster in the sector.

He also underscored the importance of continuing support for the UNRWA, which plays an irreplaceable role in assisting Palestinians in facing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and in all refugee areas.

Moreover, the ministers discussed efforts to find mechanisms to allow for the immediate and sufficient delivery of aid to Gaza, including from Jordan, and to de-escalate regional tensions.

Safadi and his British counterpart agreed to continue consultations on these efforts.

Notably, they also discussed bilateral relations and affirmed their commitment to further develop them in various fields.
